Saving money when you’re skint: the student edition (part two)

Earn money for doing stuff

So your student years are the freest and happiest years of your life because you’re not chained to a desk or a mortgage, yadda yadda! That doesn’t mean you have to live on the poverty line, particularly if your university schedule allows for part-time work. If working in a bar or café doesn’t float your boat, think tutoring, tour guiding, tech support, babysitting or keep an eye out for focus groups and online surveys that pay by the hour. There are always advantages to interning or volunteering in your chosen industry but remember what the Joker says, “If you are good at something, never do it for free.”
